Vladimir Nekhendzy, MD, FASA is a physician-scientist, Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology and (by courtesy) Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is the Director of the Stanford Advanced Airway Management and Head and Neck Anesthesia program, which he founded in 1998, and is also a fellowship director in this subspecialty. He is the founding member and Past President of the Society for Head and Neck Anesthesia.

Dr. Nekhendzy's clinical and research interests are in the areas of airway management, head and neck anesthesia, and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques (transcranial electrostimulation) for pain relief. He lectures extensively nationally and internationally and has been an invited speaker at multiple institutions worldwide.

Dr. Nekhendzy is a founder of Spiro Robotics, Inc. and the inventor of its Image/AI-guided, handheld robotic platform for difficult airway management.
